The gaming-laptop exception: most gaming machines accept USB-C PD only for slow/travel charging and need their barrel-plug OEM brick for full performance. USB-C at 100–140W will charge them overnight and power desk work, not a render or a match. Details in laptop USB-C charging.

FAQ
Can I replace my laptop's barrel-plug adapter with USB-C?
Only if the laptop has a USB-C port that accepts PD input (check the manual for a charging icon by the port). Barrel-only laptops need an OEM or licensed replacement — universal barrel kits are a compatibility lottery we don't recommend.
Will a 65W charger hurt a laptop that shipped with 45W?
No — extra capacity is never used unless requested. It's the standard upgrade path, and it future-proofs your next laptop.
Why does my laptop say 'slow charger' on a 100W adapter?
The cable. Sustained 100W needs a 5A e-marked cable; the thin cable that came with your phone caps the link at 60W.
