Adapter reviews built from published specifications.
These are spec reviews, not lab reports. Each one reads the published electrical specification, the certification record and the per-port allocation table, then says what that commits the charger to — and what it does not cover.
How these reviews are produced
Stated plainly, because it changes how you should read them: we do not run hands-on lab testing. No load bank, no thermal camera, no six-month wear diary — and no wattage we metered or temperature we recorded.
Behind them is the evidence basis set out on the about and disclosure page: published electrical specifications and per-port allocation tables, safety certification records (UL and ETL listings, plus the FCC equipment authorisation whose ID is printed on the housing), USB-IF compliance listings, manufacturer documentation, published teardowns where credible ones exist, and reliability signals including recall history. A narrower evidence base than an instrumented review; a much wider one than the average affiliate page, which has neither.

Do you physically test the chargers you review?
No. They are specification reviews built from published electrical specs, per-port power tables, UL and ETL records, FCC equipment authorisations, USB-IF compliance listings, manufacturer documentation, teardowns and recall history. We claim no measured wattages, temperatures or wear results, because we have not measured them.
Why are there no star ratings or scores on these reviews?
A score implies a single scale of quality that a specification cannot support. A 30W single-port charger and a 240W desk unit are not comparable on one number.
What is the single most useful thing to check on a listing?
The per-port allocation table. Total wattage is the marketing number; the split when two or three ports are occupied decides whether your laptop keeps charging when you plug in a phone.
