Best-of · Android

The best Android chargers of 2026.

Android fast charging is four standards wearing one USB-C connector. Picks are ranked on how many phone families each adapter actually fast-charges, not on headline wattage.

How we ranked these

Five criteria, the same on every list here and on the master roundup: delivered wattage under sustained load, not the shell number; protocol correctness — PD's 5V, 9V, 15V and 20V rails, PPS where claimed, PD 3.1 above 28V; safety certification, where a missing UL or ETL listing disqualifies; watts per dollar and per cubic inch; and track record — recalls, continuous-full-load behaviour. Sources are published specs and certification records, not star ratings or invented prices.

The primary sort is breadth of protocol coverage: how many Android families one adapter fast-charges without a proprietary brick. PPS is the widest net — Samsung, Pixel and most current fast-charging Androids negotiate on it. Wattage is the secondary sort: ceilings run from 25W on a base Galaxy to roughly 27–37W on a Pixel 9, and proprietary systems like OnePlus SUPERVOOC sit outside PD entirely.

For a mixed household the answer is one PPS-capable 65W brick rather than four bundled adapters. Per-device numbers: Pixel 9 and OnePlus. Wattage context: 30W and 45W. Protocols: the PPS guide and the Quick Charge guide. Galaxy owners: the Samsung list. Standard-level view: USB-C chargers, with the rest indexed on the best-of hub.

Ignore the watt number on proprietary chargers: an 80W or 100W SUPERVOOC or equivalent brick is not an 80W PD source. Plug a laptop into one and you will typically get a standard PD rail well below that headline figure.

FAQ

What is the best single charger for a mixed Android household?

A certified 65W GaN unit with PPS on its primary USB-C port. PPS covers Samsung and Pixel at full speed, the fixed PD rails cover everything else, and 65W total leaves room for a Chromebook or an ultrabook on the same brick.

Does PPS matter if I do not own a Samsung?

Yes. Pixel handsets and most current fast-charging Android phones negotiate their top rate on a PPS profile rather than a fixed rail. Without PPS they fall back to a standard PD rail and charge noticeably slower in the first half of the cycle.

Will a OnePlus charge fast on a normal USB-C PD charger?

It will charge, at standard PD speeds. SUPERVOOC is a proprietary system that requires the OEM adapter and its bundled cable together; nothing in the PD standard can reproduce it.

Is Quick Charge still relevant on Android?

Only on older handsets and some accessories. Current Qualcomm silicon supports Quick Charge 5, which is built on USB-C PD and PPS, so a good PPS adapter serves those phones correctly without any Quick Charge branding.
