Type E versus Type F, in one paragraph
A Schuko (Type F) socket earths through two metal strips at the top and bottom of its recess. A French (Type E) socket earths through a male pin that protrudes from the socket face into a matching hole in the plug. The two schemes are mechanically compatible for power but not for earth, which is why the hybrid CEE 7/7 plug exists: it has both side contacts and an earth hole, so it works in either. When you buy an adapter for Morocco, buy the one labelled Type E/F rather than a Schuko-only fitting if you need the earth connection.

Every USB-C charger sold in the US carries Input: 100–240V ~ 50/60Hz in fine print on its housing. Morocco's 220V is inside that, so the charger converts it exactly as it converts US 120V, and the plug adapter passes the mains through unaltered.
