Malaysia: the UK plug at 240V nominal.
Malaysia uses Type G, the three-rectangular-pin British plug, at a nominal 240V and 50Hz. It is the highest headline voltage you will meet on a normal itinerary — and it is also the number that worries travelers least once you know how the standard is written.
240V, 230V, 220V: the same band
Nominal voltages across the 220–240V world are largely a labelling convention. IEC 60038 defines the standard low-voltage supply as 230V with a tolerance of ±10%, meaning anything from 207V to 253V is a compliant supply. Malaysia's 240V nominal and Singapore's 230V nominal both sit inside that window, which is why no equipment maker builds a separate 240V product.

Your charger is built for the whole band. The input line reads 100–240V ~ 50/60Hz, and 240V is the literal top of that range — not an edge case, a design point.
The Type G details that trip people up
Type G plugs carry their own cartridge fuse and their earth pin is longer than the live and neutral pins because it mechanically opens shutters inside the socket. A cheap adapter with a stubby moulded earth post may not open those shutters, which reads as "the adapter is broken" when it is simply the wrong tool. Buy one with a full-size earth pin.
The second habit worth adopting: sockets in the Type G world very often have their own switch beside the outlet. If a device is plugged in, seated correctly and doing nothing, the switch is the first thing to check — before you start doubting the adapter or the charger.

Works as-is vs needs a converter
Fine on a plug adapter: phones, tablets, laptops, camera and drone battery chargers, e-readers, power banks, electric toothbrushes, cordless shavers. These read 100–240V and 240V is inside that.
Not fine, and not fixable with an adapter: 120V-only hair dryers, straighteners, curling wands, travel kettles and corded appliances with AC motors.
